I won but did not gain any Arena Points.
If I would have lost, I would have lost several points (most likely 4-5).

Is this a bug? If not, there is ZERO incentive to get matched with a Bronze an my level, and MUCH to lose.

You didnt win „shields“, as the tier difference is too big. But you still won „arena-ELO“-points. They just are not shown as long as you dont reach the highest tier. You can restrict the tiers you get matched against with the gear icon before you start the arena table search.
