BGA isn't worth it anymore. Most likely I won't play here anymore soon.
Fun fact: on the 3 last days there have been an average of 400 tables of 6 nimnt played each day on BGA... which is exactly the same average than in the previous month.

There may be a perception difference, you may have been unlucky on a table, but what the statistics says is that there is no problem like you are suggested.
No, I strongly disagree with that suggestion. Seaofgreen is known among regulars as the 'master of table creation' :D He has created so many tables - and put considerable effort in doing so - that he is very aware of fluctuations in time it takes to set up a table. I think you can learn a thing or two from him about your site's users.

I think you confuse the total number of tables and the number of tables where regulars meet. The first may not have dropped, the second has (at least that is the opinion of a number of 6 nimmt! regulars). I think it would be smart to use the regulars knowledge to further improve the site rather than dismissing their feedback ;)

As it is, the new site caters more to casual players, players who play a lot of different games (and just drop in whatever game is available) and players of the more popular games (for instance players of 7 Wonders where tables fill up very quickly after opening them).

Timbamania wrote: 15 September 2019, 16:56 One big thing I find is missing is the list of available players. For games that are less popular it helps to know how many players there are available (and what their level is).
Well, it looks like they are back :)
Hey, that's pretty cool. Thanks! Could you sort the list according to rating?

We don't. We are listening and reading every feedback on the new lobby, and that's why there have been almost 10 updates in 3 days to improve it.

But believe me, if the waiting time had been multiplied by 4 like suggested by seaofgreen, the number of 6 nimnt tables would have dropped significantly. This is definitely not the case, so I'm forced to "dismiss" his feedback immediately because I cannot let such a false fact here.

By the way: if you use the "see all available tables" link + "small icons", and given the fact that "Available players" are back, there is no not much difference between the old lobby and the new one. The features are there, and the logic is almost the same. So "BGA isn't worth it anymore" is really an unuseful provocation.

Expanded Favorites.

When applying - "Display Options - Sort By..." to my expanded game list at the top, the one I'm most interested in, it sorts Lowest (Least) to Highest (Most). If I 'sort by recently played...' my most recently played game is at the bottom of the list. Same for the other sort orders.

Click on "See all available tables" and on "display options => small icons" and you will get almost the same interface than before.

Did not you see these options in the tutorial?

It would be nice if the settings would be saved separately for realtime and turn based lobby: which games are on the favorite list, which games are expanded or minimized. The possibility to have favorite games for both modes could also prevent from being shown in the list of players and getting suggestions for games I only want to play turn based.

Perhaps even better would be the possibility to have separate sets of favorite games. Then the players could create sets for realtime or turn based games, but also lists with games depending on time and complexity. Sometimes you don't have much time, or just want to relax with a selection of easy games.

Of course best would be to have this as an option, so that no one can complain who wants to have identical lists.
