Steam gives it to you at the beginning of your next turn and in the significant amount of games I've played there, have never thought "I would have acted differently with my remaining brown powers had player x spent his egg otherwise."
Here on BGA every little thing matters and part of the fun is a fair game where everyone tried to maximize everything down to the egg placement. Yes this might break the flow of the game but when I play in real life with my family it is not competitive. I watch what birds they discard and what food they discard and can try to guess what they have before choosing my birds and discarded food if I really wanted to slow roll it and maximize everything while everyone is playing for fun and is not trying to gain the same benefit. Here on BGA that would not fly and everything has a reason for you first, me first, or simultaneous. If Steam really waits until your turn to activate all pink powers then just like playing with my family, Steam it is a less competitive version of the game.

Your question of does it really matter the order cause it may only affect .01% of games... um YEAH IT DOES! here on BGA, most of us care about even that .01% advantage... and that is not bad or good of us. or bad or good of steam players. It is just that we enjoy a more competitive experience.

Yeah, I already conceded that point. I get it.
