Here is my best try so far:

GregPL 187 vs. Automächtig 161.

Went for Academy in round 1 (with 1 step on science to establish 4k income), then focused on Eco, followed by terraforming and range. I built PI and second Academy mid-game, which resulted in a PI-Ac fed, which was definitely not opimal. Went heavy terraforming in the late game, finished with 5 federation tokens.

I hope you had an enjoyable vacation. Fascinating Ultoma game. I didn't expect so much gaiaforming. 67 from tech is very impressive, with a handy 15 from qic actions.

I'm glad you enjoyed the challenge and thank you for posting. The RL+4m opening was an interesting one to try. The GP automa is said to be one of the best of any game.

It's probably possible to take the adv terra tech along the way as well for some more points (in round 5 or 6, instead of lost planet), but a bit tricky to combine with last fed. Oh and 12vp fed would also have been a little better.... So can be improved to at least 240+

I hadn't expected immediate gaiaforming but the advanced tech is very, strong 55 VP as well as 48 research!

That's a big opening! I had the opposite problem with tokens, burning an ore for a token I later didn't need . 35 qic VP. Good game!

i completed this too, on Alptrauma, but you still got 6 extra VP, I'm not sure if 251 is even possible, I may need to study your game.

Thanks, I like your game a lot too, it's more of the 'brute force' Taklons approach with Eco and a lot of (paid) charging. You scored bigger with advanced techs, whereas I scored more subtle points with the 3vp/gaia and also think I managed some more QIC-based VPs in round 5. Even though our openings are pretty much identical, after that we had a very different resources and VP strategy, nice to see that they can end up in similar scores.
