Which doesn't even have an "expel player" option at all - I just searched for a couple of minutes and don't see it.

Does that mean if they ever eliminate the old UI and force us to use the incredibly awful new UI, this will no longer be possible?
I believe it's available under the player's avatar as "Kick player" - at least I have used this when setting up games and accidentally inviting the wrong people.

Okay, next time I actually want to start a rematch, I'll try to remember. But I did spend quite a while looking at that page in the new UI and try to find a way to remove a player and didn't see it. You ARE talking about the new table UI, not the old, right? Do you have a screenshot that shows it?

Are you talking about this in the Play Now (old) lobby, or something in the new lobby?

Here's the equivalent view in the new lobby waiting for an invited player, but there's no button I can see to boot that player (as opposed to canceling the game entirely).

I'm really confused.

You responded to a comment of mine in which I said that the old table screen has an "expel player" link, but the new table screen doesn't seem to have anything like that. I also said that on the old UI, when the player hasn't joined the game yet, their entire rectangle is grayed out, making it easy to miss the "expel player" link or to think it's disabled because it's grayed out; I added that I would submit a feature request to fix that, except that I don't think they would pay attention to any feature requests for the old UI so I won't bother doing that.

You responded to the end of my comment, in which I said that the new UI doesn't seem to have anything like the "expel player" link that the old UI has, and you said you believe there's a "kick player" under the player's avatar. So it sounded like you were saying oh no don't worry, the new UI does have this feature, it just has a different name. But now I don't get what you were trying to say there, since you're saying that I was right, the new table screen UI does not have that.

Edit: I just realized that was a different person who first replied to my comment with the thing about "kick player", so it may just be that you didn't read my original comment that they replied to. And I'm still not sure what they meant. Please read my original comment that they replied to, not just my reply to them - without context, it's ambiguous.

I have nothing to add. Nik said there was a "kick player" link, but you said that you'd already seen where to do that in the old lobby, so that comment seemed superfluous unless they were talking about something they'd found in the new lobby. So my response was to nik asking for clarification about whether the feature they mentioned was in the old or new lobby.

It's not going to convert me to using the new lobby, but it's good to know it's there. Does that open when you mouseover the avatar, or do you have to click it? [I'm away from my computer]

Yeah, that's why I didn't find it - those don't look like things you should click on. It is hidden unless you already know it's there.

I wonder how many bad design choices they could possibly make in one page.

Yeah. If it's hidden it should be documented....somewhere. But BGA has the same attitude toward documenting features and functionalities that many software developers have toward commenting their code. That's attitude is aversion, in case it wasn't clear.
