And for me it's more thrilling than annoying. You deduct but you don't have to know. You can trust others but it isn't sure. You can take risks and push your luck. Often it is the better choice than to play safely.
For me the best games are the ones with a completely messed up theory table.

So I took a guess on the 50/50 and missed. It's annoying that I knew the published theory was wrong but couldn't prove it... which also meant I couldn't publish a theory on Triple Negative which I needed to get one of the bonus tiles.

There are some really annoying aspects of this game, despite the fantastic deduction mechanism.
Even if you had guessed correctly, your experiment showing Scorpion and Foot making neutral would only have demonstrated a conflict and would not have freed up the theory. The user interface should have said that would be the outcome. If it didn't, that would be a bug.

In addition, you would require 3 seals to get your second grant, so your single publication action wouldn't have been enough.
