Nope, thats basically not possible.
Apprentices have 1 game absolved, must not even be a win.
Average players need 100 wins.
There is nothing inbetween. There is currently no good possibility to cut out newbies without cutting out 95% of the playerbase (if not more).

That’s a huge problem in this game. They really should change this

Definitely not a game I'd recommend playing with strangers. I've never given so many red thumbs before, not even if I combined all the red thumbs from all the games I've played on this site would I ever reach the ratio I did with this one.
Not that I'm a saint from being toxic myself, but it is so frustrating when people tell you all the time you don't know how to play when the majority of them are also Apprentices. It's ironic how even a game like Bang! doesn't have half of its playerbase acting like smartasses, and this is supposed to be a co-op game to make things worse.

Being an Apprentice can mean you won this game already 99 times. I would call that quite experienced.
Do you know the basics? Do you just grab the 3 Token because 3 is your favorite number?
One bad player kills the entire gaming experience for the whole gang. That is why red thumbs fly easily in this game.

That is problem for ALL new coop. For some reason developers use same no ranking policy. Zombicide will have same problem, even bigger, because is not that popular as Gang. And guess what. Not many want support proposition to change it. Something that BGA should think of.

I just played my 2nd game of "The Gang" trying to learn it and that is exactly what it feels like in chat to me.. a gang of thugs. I will not be playing this game again until cross chat is fully removed.

I think people could be nicer about how they speak to each other. For a lot of people, this is a brand new game and they might not understand the mechanics of it. As a non premium user, I’m just trying to join whatever game I can and not taking into consideration whether or not there’s any added rules to the game. I believe when you play the game you can question people’s decisions like going from a high number to a low number without someone taking the high number from them signally they hit something. But there’s no need to insult the person making a mistake. If you want to red thumb over it that’s up to you.

Some of the rules require people to coordinate with each other. I don’t think removing chat is the solution lol

* Brand new game
* Don't know the mechanics
* Join any game in any difficulty
* Do not read additional rules
* Why are people against me?

The same way being an Apprentice can mean that you've won the game once. While on this topic, I think I'd have a bit more patience with the person who only won 1 or 2 games instead of 99, something that doesn't seems to be the norm here.
And this mentality is specifically what I'm against. How do you expect players to improve if you're already trying to weed them out for not knowing how to play? Take Burgle Bros for example; I'm quite experienced in the game (which you can see by how many games I've played), yet I've seen new players not know that you have to reveal tiles before you can start cracking the safe. I assure you, out of all the times I've played that co-op game, not once did I ever seen a player get flak for not knowing what to do, even though according to you that should "kill" the experience.
On a side note, I'm sorry but this is a Premium game. Non Premium members should at least try to behave towards hosts since they rely on them to play the game in the first place. Showing respect is the least you could do, if you can't/won't pay to play the game. Perhaps having the option to mute them would increase the positive experience.

By not joining games with the highest difficulty preset.
You can choose between Base Mode, Advanced Mode, Professional Mode and Master Mode.
Why do you join Master Mode when you dont know how to play?

It happens even in Base mode.
