Go to
https://boardgamearena.com/gameinprogress and see how many games have far less than 60 games in progress. Your favourite games don't seem to be the less popular ones.

I know there are lesser played games than the ones I mentioned. Still, they are at the lower end of the spectrum. My point is that for most games it won't be a problem to find games. The statement I reacted to was that it's very hard to find games for most of the games at BGA, which just doesn't correspond to my own experiences.

BGA has so many amazing games, and this site has a lot to offer. There are by far more premium games now than used to be, so not as easy to find games, in case you are no premium but that is ok. I mean paywall? whats the price, cheaper than everything else you can do with so many options. Some games would also be a lot of effort to develop and run here, additionally some games have a digital implementation on there own (terraforming mars, even though a poor one to be honest). Publishers of popular games would want to get some money from BGA too so its a give and take there from us as community.
But one reason I can feel in regard to the OP comment and the community: It is not easy to find real time games for a lot of games, Real time arena games for example are only possible for the very short games it feels. So in that regard yes, if i want to play GWT, AFO, etc now I may not find a game. And in the general play lobby often elo and competition is far less, and harder to find balanced games (not impossible). Not everyone is similar, taking a turn from time to time may be what people can afford timewise or they are stressed out by making suboptimal moves in real time format?
I find turn based games much worse than realtime, experience wise and rethinking into what the plan in that game was all the time, is not so cool for me. So in that case for me the site is not dead, but defenitely worse than it had been in some regards. (Like with arena mode, realtime play seems to decrease even more)
P.s.: (but ofc i don't have statistics to back it up, is there anywhere visibile whats the realtime vs turn based total game ration and for each game is)

If I host a turn based game with an open invite the game fills and we're off within a few hours at most. I also have a few consistent play groups made up of irl or discord friends where we're trying all kinds of random stuff on this site. BGA seems stronger then ever getting some pretty massive games like Barrage, Just One, Ticket To Ride, and Wingspan.

as aid before I am not the OP, but you mention turn based, maybe he refers to real time games and there is defenitely a lack of games for most of those. Off in a few hours, for me its of in 5-15minutes with competive games maybe what i want

It seems that when some people raise the OP's complaint, they feel it is BGA's responsibility not just to provide a platform on which to play, but also to build a player base for
their particular favorite game so that they can have instant gratification whenever they want to play.
I play a lot of
Insert, an abstract game that is no Yahtzee in terms of popularity. As I write this, there are 43 real time Yahtzee games in progress, and zero Insert games. This is not a problem with BGA or something it needs to (or can) "fix." The game is not popular. That's life.

BGA's main service is offering a platform to play on, which is a service they're running quite well. Expanding/improving the games library is not the only thing that your 1 euro is going towards, but mostly towards site maintenance. What good is an extensive games collection if your site is literally dead(server down)?
Asmodee is not the full owner of BGA, they just own part of it(I think?), but if you want them to put something in, they'd also have to get something out of it.
