I don't like this quoted post, nor is it needed.Hagardunor wrote: ↑01 November 2026, 17:45What I have some difficulties with, is why some answers absolutely try to demonstrate that my request is nonsense. Just tell "I don't like it", or "I don't need it".
If you really want to go further and advocate against my request, try to answer some of these questions before :
- Do I understand why Hagardunor would be pleased if this request was implemented ?
- will this request cause me any harm ?
- will it harm anybody else ?
- do I know if the developpers are against implementing it, whatever the reason ?
All I want when opening this thread is to gather enough support so that the developers will take my request into consideration (we're still a long way from that). As long as it doesn't harm anyone, there's no reason to try to tear it down.
- would I feel better if this request was rejected ?
That doesn't mean I forbid any negative opinions about it (people have the right not to like it). What I can't stand is when people feel compelled to come up with bogus arguments to justify those opinions. Or maybe it's just that they're not sure of their own opinion.

Votes on this suggestion possible here : https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=251040Hagardunor wrote: ↑19 October 2026, 16:34 In present profiles only current ELO of each specific game is included. As ELO can vary with regard to luck or partners skills, it is not necessary a representative measure of one's skills. In my profile (and other players' profiles as well) I would like that the highest ELO ever reached in the game currently played or checked in one's profile is available

Trying to suppress posters explaining is toxic behavior, please don't do that. If you are unable to handle criticism and reasoning, you should reconsider how sure you are about your own opinions.Hagardunor wrote: ↑01 November 2026, 17:45What I have some difficulties with, is why some answers absolutely try to demonstrate that my request is nonsense. In your lashing out here, you are ignoring a bunch of context. The specific aspect I was responding to here was that of this request being treated as a trophy. It's not, because trophies have a singular achievable state that in essence goes from "OFF" to "ON. Your response was a rather silly "I also have a before (I never got this high) and an after (now I am sad I am not that high)". This can only be treated as a trophy if we had a trophy for every single Elo value, which is clearly ridiculous.Hagardunor wrote: ↑01 November 2026, 14:39I'm starting to get really fed up with having to justify myself for a request that causes NO harm to anyone. Do you really have that much time to waste criticizing a request that only concerns me and others like me who just want to see their best performance displayed?BarnardsStar wrote: ↑30 October 2026, 22:04But that only applies if you consider each and every number separately. Should there be an Elo 373 trophy, and an Elo 374 trophy, and an Elo 375 trophy, and ...??Hagardunor wrote: ↑30 October 2026, 21:44 There is a also a before (I never reached that level before) and an after (so sad that I got down from this level, very proud to show how far I could go with my skills and a bit of luck).
If you're gonna lash out and demand we not answer you until we understand you, then I would suggest you follow that advice as well. You are clearly not taking the time to understand the opposition here. You're attitude is: you're just right in wanting this, and we are all being terrible terrible people when we oppose you. This is not a tenable approach to take on a message board.

What do any of these questions have to do with anything?Hagardunor wrote: ↑01 November 2026, 17:45 If you really want to go further and advocate against my request, try to answer some of these questions before :

Fine, here are my answers:
- No, I haven't the slightest clue why you would be pleased. You've said you feel current Elo is inadequate because it could be pulled down by an unlucky streak, but then that means your highest Elo ever is almost certainly going to be the result of a lucky streak. It doesn't mean anything. It's literally there to stroke your ego. So, ok, I guess I do know why you would be pleased, but I don't know why anybody else is supposed to care about this value.
- Technically, it means the effort spent in implementation will not be spent in implementing something that actually improves the site.
- See the last answer.
- I don't know why the developers' attitudes towards it matters. First and foremost what matters is if it's actually a good idea.
- At this point, given your attitude on the topic? Yeah, I'd feel better. I was formerly ambivalent, but you've persuaded me.
