What term did the old system use? I think "player restrictions" or something like that. I would love to hear BGA's explanation for why that was changed.
Add that to the pile of odd choices. It is possible that whatever French word was translated to English as "audience" has a different connotation in French. But that word choice doesn't affect functionality, so it's the lowest of the priorities.

Hello, why has the tournament registration process become so confusing? It involves even more clicking now. It's not clear which category I'm eligible for. I can't manage it. Please simplify it and don't make it even more confusing. Thank you.

Happy to see the standings chart in round robin tournaments was reinstated.

In French it uses "Limitation de public". To me that still seems to pertain to spectators, not players.

Agreed.

This is so baffling. It really seemed that going back several months BGA was trying to improve tournaments incrementally, responding to player concerns and giving additional options to tournament creators (first the "auto number of matches" in Swiss, then the "no-kick" option). But why now destroy the whole interface and replace with something worse? I don't recall anyone saying that information should be removed from the tournament standings, or that more scrolling would be an improvement in presentation of the results.

When you scroll down to the very bottom of a tournament page, there is a red "Cancel" button. I think that would "erase" the tournament.
Ah. That's terrible. On tournament configuration page where you make all the settings (and which is only available to the tournament creator), there is no Cancel button. There is just a red "Reset" button. When I clicked on it, a warning message appeared "Do you want to undo any modification and revert back to saved state for this Tournament?" That doesn't sound like it cancels the tournament. It sounds like it just cancels any changes you recently made. And since I had nothing to lose, I clicked Confirm on that Reset button and it did nothing. Tournament still active and open to registration.

But then when I went to the tournament page (which is available to all participants), that's where there's the red cancel button. Thanks for pointing that out. It worked.

But this cancel button should be on the configuration page as well, because that's when the tournament organizer is most likely to notice they made a mistake and immediately want to close a tournament.

Thank you very much for the update!
Unfortunately, it seems that tiebreakers are a little bugged as of now. Here my opponent earlconancasalme should be in position 4 and dschingis27 should be in position 5, but it is the other way around. https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?i ... oup_531865 Actually you'll find a wrong ranking based on tiebreakers in each group of that tournament.
You'll find wrong rankings in this one, too. https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=513121

Here is one where everything seems correct, the group stage already finished. https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?i ... 1#overview

Maybe it's not wrong in final standings but only in unfinished groups. Still wrong of course.

Tiebreakers not completely fixed. Any testing done? And even if it is fixed. There needs to be tourneys to use them on. And since no invites. Tourneys are suffering bigtime. Hard to make them. Harder to see the details of any tourney,. No invites has destroyed tourneys. Do you understand this ??? For now. Seems like you dont. Repeat, invites are needed now.... next, Still have thousands of Swiss tourneys that have been playing for months if not a year or more whose scoreboards, Tiebreakers are not fixed are still ruining those tourneys messed up. After 6 days. Finally someone from bga speaks. 1 small sentence to tell us something is fixed when it still is not functioning correctly . Tournament scene destroyed. And now fixing at very small increments. May never be as good as it was. Stop forcing this change on us. Saying no going back. Just throwing gas on the fire. That is now a full blown forest fire. Gonna be hard to put out using a sprinkler. Please get things fixed. With much better communication. Near zero communication on this thread. 2 small comments over 6 days. With near 200 complaints does not help the situation

Echoing the sentiment that the ability to invite players needs to be brought back. I mostly create private tournaments, and not being able to invite from the tournament page has made this more difficult to get the word out.
