The update is a big miss for me. Too busy. Unneeded information. I will assume BGA will not care nor address any concerns.
Another example of why I let my subscription lapse.

Are you able to save a screenshot on your phone, or maybe in mobile mode in a desktop browser? (Ctrl-Shift-M in Firefox) You can upload the screenshot using imgur.com.

As you can see, my opponents' names are cut off after the first few letters. This is not useable.

Looks great.
Now, revert the ELO-stealing change you made weeks ago please.

Ha, that's not very helpful, is it.
I suspect hiding the avatars and removing the thick border on the right would provide space for more names, though I'm not sure how many users use the names.

Well I wish they listened to you about anything, or we wouldn't be in this mess.
By the way, I really love the Strands and Challenger interfaces. Very well done.

I will admit that this is a first impression and my opinion may change, but please please please give us the option to go back to the old layout. This new layout is just very messy. I feel like my browser is trying to overwhelm my eyes with information. The old layout was very clean and showed me everything I needed to know. I don't understand what was wrong with it. Change for the sake of change is not usually a good idea. Nothing was wrong before... What are you trying to fix with these changes?
Try the 1-column setting.
The 1-column setting is a total waste of space. that option should give us back the old list.

Is there an option to keep the "here are some suggestions" part hidden? If I'm on the gameinprogress page, hide that section, then click the "waiting for you" button, the "here are some suggestions" section appears again. It's visual clutter for me, and if anything it makes more sense to put it at the bottom of the page.
Luckily uBlock gives me the option of blocking specific elements so now I never have to see it, but it would be nice if this functionality was built-in to BGA.

I would like to echo what many others are saying - that the new interface for the games in progress is far too busy and very annoying to use. The old page maybe needed updating, but was easy to see the info you needed on any screen, and it was my homepage on BGA. Why do we need a page of multicoloured boxes? The new page is so full of extra colour and formatting that I will avoid it as much as possible, and will have to find a new way to navigate to my games. There are probably some useful enhancements hidden under the glare, but I will probably never see them unless they surface in some more useable form.

If I'm playing on multiple identical tables with different people (favorites, arena games, round robin tournaments), those names let me see which table I'm selecting. It's useful information.

Suggestion:
Arena shortcut:
The Arena shortcut, should take you to a list of games I'm currently active in Arena this season. I am playing Challengers, but I've never played Ark Nova, so why is Ark Nova first in the list, followed by other games I'm not interest in?
Tournaments shortcut:
I am playing in a tournament at the moment, but I have no games active since I'm waiting for the next round to start. However I would like a link to that active tournament, I would like to check it's status.
