Days of Wonder do have a practical approach to a lot of things
Has anyone tried to contact Richard Borg about it?
Maybe he has an opinion?
There was some discussion on the old forums and think Rasmussen was checking into it but never heard of any outcome.
If we follow what the card says the mechanics fixed the original damaged tanks and they are thrown back into the battle
But yeah, would like to know what RB has to say about it
The card states the mechanics of its use.
The card doesn't state how the figures are to be counted in a match.
The figures have been destroyed, returned and can be destroyed a second time.
BGA M44 reports the total number of figures destroyed for each category.
It matters not if destroyed figures are subsequently restored and put back in the game.
They were destroyed.
Time to get over it people and move on.
It all comes down to interpretation and we are having a friendly discussion so pretty rude to say get over it and move on...

It is not a question of interpretation, but of choice.
Counting figurines from each side that remain on the hexes of the boardgame is the only practically feasible method after a real game, and this method is referenced in tournament rules.
One of the objectives of the BGA site being to sell game boxes, it seems to me normal that the implementations of the games allow to simulate real games and the rules of tournaments relative to real games.
This does not exclude also realizing another counting mode specific to the game Memory 44 digitized.
These figurine accounts are only accessory data used to rank players in tournaments.
It seems to me useful to provide these two different counts in the game statistics.
Tournament organizers will determine the method of ranking players anyway, and choose the statistics that are right for them.
