Seems like friendly games have a negative impact on my winning % (even when i win the friendly game). If i compare my wins with my loses it seems like my current winning % is not reflecting correctly, anybode with the same experience?

I also came across this - my win rate dropped 1% after winning a friendly kingdomino game

Yes. The way win% is calculated is generally nonsense.

Also, I lost out on a 20 win-streak achievement because I lost a friendly mode game. What is that all about ?? I play friendly mode to goof around, try new things, or teach people the game in a way that might show them winning combos because losing is not supposed to affect anything for me. Apparently, that's not the case.

Just won 1 friendly game against 500+ elo player and winning drops from 90% to 89%.... really annoying, completely agree with Frankjones, friendly games should be relaxing games without any consequences on trophies or win rate. Good to know i am not the only one with this problem.

Hey friend!

Don't worry about win % or ELO. I think it also helps to not look at the current visible score constantly. I think its more productive to focus on your own board if you want to get better. Try to consistently get more than 90 pts per game. Start by trying to consistently get 70 pts, then 80 pts etc...

Play as many birds as you can to get a feel for each one and which ones fit your preferred play style. This game definitely has a good amount of luck involved, but luck is good because allows players to catch up. Also, don't worry about bird tier lists. It can be helpful to get a general idea about how good a card is in a vacuum, but what's good for your game on your turn is a lot more variable. Like a ruddy duck on round 4 is probably going to be a bad card vs a ruddy duck on round 1 is a great card. That's an extreme example, but something to think about.

I like to play a lot of games with friends and we tend to be rather evenly matched. I find those games the most fun, but its definitely going to lower my win % and probably ELO. I would recommend trying to have fun and playing as many games as you can over worrying about your statistics. Statistics are good if have a large enough game base to identify your playing trends. If you focus only one numbers you are going to have a bad time and not make progress on improving as a player.

Winning percentage and ELO are indicator of how good you are at the game. The lower your winning percentage, the worse you are at the game. My winning percentage is 51% currently. That isn't very good.
