Could you be so kind to clarify on how xp tournaments work?
I created some of the private tournaments with 1 xp winning but some have got 262 xp f.e.

What is the reason? The number of the participants is the same (for about).
I limit it to the exact number of players.
How to create the private tournaments with more xp? What are the tips?
I wouldn't waste your time, I don't know exactly how it works but the xp is related to number of players and level of those players, but it's capped incredibly low at 300 xp, so it's really not worth worrying about. No-one is playing tournaments for the xp.

As an aside, maybe some point we should push for change on this, because this has come up a number of times recently (I wasn't even aware that many people were paying attention to xp), but the current system is so out of whack with achievement that it's silly. Like I literally think tournaments should be awarding 100x the xp they currently are. It should be much more scalable (ie. not all tournaments basically awarding the max, but that's probably more linked currently to how low the cap is), and the cap should probably be more like 30,000 than 300. Like when you compare the value of achievement of winning a big tournament it should be in the same ballpark at least of winning an Arena season (60k) or reaching #1 at a game (30k).

Go on the page of this tournament and at the bottom of this web page click on "Withdraw" button.

You registered for a turn-based tournament with each game lasting 10 days. You don't have to be online when turn-based tournaments begin. Heck, you could even probably skip a whole day and finish in time.

I am trying to start a tournament for Tapestry. However, it appears that there are very limited options. It does not seem possible to remove Marriage of State, for example. And only the original Civs.

Why are there different options that would be there for a normal single game?

This may have something to do with it:
Tapestry players:
Tapestry: Civilization Adjustments are being consolidated

Going forward, Jamey Stegmaier (the designer) would like Tapestry on BGA to run on a single, definitive civilization set: the Adjustment Civilization Pack, the official expansion that folds in all the rebalancing work. The older adjustment settings are on their way out.

What changed:

Adjustment Civilization Pack is now the default for new tables. If you just hit "create table", this is what you get.
"no Adjustments" (original rules) and "with Adjustments" (latest official adjustments) are now marked deprecated. They still work, but they are scheduled for removal in 2027.
"Experimental Adjustments Nov 2022" can no longer be selected for new tables. It stays in the list only so games already in progress can finish.

New option to try:

Adjustment Civilization Pack + new Alchemists (Testing) - the Pack, plus the new Alchemists civilization. The rules themselves are final; "testing" here means the BGA implementation is what needs a shakedown, so please report anything that looks wrong.
To make the option actually useful, the player who creates the table is guaranteed to be dealt the Alchemists among their starting civilizations.
Once testing is done, this becomes the standard option and replaces the current one.

If you have a strong reason to keep playing a deprecated setting, now is a good time to say so in this thread, while there is still time to act on it.
You can find it in your Newsfeed on your profile page. Unfortunately they didn't start a thread in the Tapestry sub-forum for it, as it is cumbersome to carry out an extended discussion in a newsfeed post.
