Up until the arrival of Hold'em, he was everyone. Now that this junk is available, hold'em players can come here and play hold'em. So you are simultaneously correct and incorrect.

As a member of the group that until last week consisted of entirely of people who came here to play hobby games (i.e. everyone), get rid of hold'em. It's junk. BGA doesn't have the bandwidth to host all the games that are currently running.

Absolutely this.
It spoils the game for people who like it genuinely as well. Even if I love the game and would play "to win the glory" as if it was real, I would have to face reckless players that play all streets because they don't care, ruining the game for everybody

Isn't it interesting that every other game on BGA has no "real consequences" and yet we all love to play them anyway? Even the ones that have bidding, betting and bluffing!

With Poker? Everything? Never played Poker in Real life with money, did you? Changes the whole game.

Because no money is on the line the scenario which would suit this application best is tournament. Otherwise you just go all in with no consequences, restart.

Did not realize a card game would cause so much contraversary.

All the Texas hold em I've ever played has been for what I consider to be no real money. Typically I'm spending $20 and maybe winning 6 times that. Great, another hour or two of salary for playing a game for 4 hours. That's part of the attraction of the game. For instance, in typical poker a person might be able to raise $10,000 against an opponent if they themselves are a multimillionaire and the opponent is living hand to mouth. Thus, that form of poker involves an unfair utility of money.

But I'm not a serious player and don't play in big money tournaments. If that is how you are accustomed to playing T.H.Em, you probably won't enjoy the BGA version. But I thought there was a whole THEm online ecosystem for people to play that way.
