A lot of people won't argue just for a quiet life.
That -BGA Wingspan gurus at the bottom isn't a signature. It's the missing list item mentioned in the paragraph above.
Exact same argument for if some of us actually bother to put up a few threads, it's something worth the pain of posting and arguing about. If you're not even playing Wingspan arena, why even be dimissive of the ones who are actually playing? Why step up when you're not a Guru or even involved in wingspan arena experience? Or is it just fun to be a contrarian?
And yes - BGA Wingspan gurus at the bottom is misleading as hell given how fervently you're defending the gurus decision for 2 seasons in a row to continue having 3p wingspan, despite obvious community pushback. Even to the extent of going off on a tangent about BGG polls, for which how it is representative of what BGA wingspan arena players want is just grasping at straws.
When can we have the real Gurus to step up here and address this unpopular opinion of 3p wingspan arena?

If you say so. Sorry about that.
But ultimately you need to recognise the difference between a few noisy people on the forums and 'community pushback'.
No one has to come onto the forums and defend anything, the system is what it is and 90k games a season across the site is by no means unhealthy as a community.

[I am not responding to anyone in particular, so I am not quoting anything.]
I'm not sure "total arena games played" id a good way to measure arena engagement. As has been noted, a 3-player game has 50% more players engaged than a 2-player game. And, as has been noted, they take longer (sometimes significantly, in turn-based), so of course there will be fewer games. This does not necessarily mean less engagement or less interest.
A more useful number would be total number of players participating in arena. If I'm not mistaken, that information is shown.
