In this topic, there have already been calls to write something new and not to repeat the same thoughts. What is needed is not a repetition of the same thing, about which 9 pages have been written, but a joint search for a solution. With all due respect. I proposed specific new ideas. An argument for the sake of an argument was not implied. My suggestions and comments could have been ignored. The ideas could have been useful later or developed by someone else into more effective schemes.

I mistakenly called any game an Arena. We are talking about playing at least in the "Play" mode. I initially proposed dividing the two versions of the game: with and without blocking. After all, it is obvious that there is demand for both options. Think about how to satisfy the needs of each side, and not crush and persuade the other. It is obvious that new players will come and the issue will be raised again and again. Adding blocking to the rules of the game is also a good solution! For some reason, this simple and obvious idea has not been voiced until now.

And I still remain of the opinion that aggressive vindictive blocking violates the atmosphere and rules of the site. For some reason this issue has not been discussed in depth. Perhaps it is worth adding such a reason when evaluating a player.

The argument against this is it adds more programming work. TtR isn't the only game wither this sort of dispute (see Azul, Carcassonne). Plus, you'd have to clearly define 'blocking'. If blocking you benefits me in any way, does that count as 'vindictive'?

Someone pointed out how, at some publisher's site, just having a note "no blocking" on a game invitation helps. No way to enforce it, but maybe it does help. I don't know how easy that would be to program, to have a notes field for every created game. And I don't know whether BGAers would abide it anyway.
And I still remain of the opinion that aggressive vindictive blocking violates the atmosphere and rules of the site. For some reason this issue has not been discussed in depth. Perhaps it is worth adding such a reason when evaluating a player.
And with this, you undercut what you wrote above. Now we go back to the same old argument over whether aggressive play is poor sportsmanship.

You want a discussion about your idea and not a re-hash, then you shouldn't post stuff like this. You're just asking for a re-hash.

Also, please clarify whether points are awarded in "friendly mode"? In friendly mode, people are too lazy to create games. This is not a popular direction.
BGA's friendly mode does not award points. In fact, that is one of the purposes of friendly mode to begin with.

BGA has implemented Ticket to Ride by the rules of the game. Since the cheating aspect was previously covered, there's not a lot more to say. Anti-blocking has a well-earned ill reputation that if anything will only get worse with time.

Sorry this is not cheating, open a dictionary

Also, I'm not "trying to enforce a rule", where do you see that ? Learn to read. I'm inviting people to blacklist unfair players with unfair moves that ruin the experience of the game. If you are happy to do such moves and play with such players, feel free to not block them. Democracy. But maybe others would like to know who do that to avoid them... Read OP (and maybe other replies, haven't read the rest of the thread), it's quite clear how annoying it is.
