Through the Ages update?

So with the new version gone cardboard, will BGA use the new ruleset as a replacement, another option, ignored completely, or something else I haven't thought of?

Hi, this is discussed in a thread just a couple spots below this one but the official answer from the devs is that there is no answer right now. It might happen someday but there's no news at the moment.
