Playing from Same IP

Question for the community. I would like 4 people to be able to play a game from a single IP address. We are ONLY playing with ourselves and and ELO rating is off.

One or 2 players are getting kicked out randomly. We are not trying to cheat in any way, but just want to play the game together. Is there any way to do this?

My answer won't help you but for me, if you want to play in the same place with 3 of your friends, my suggestion is that you buy the real board game

As far as I understand it, there is nothing wrong with several people playing from the same IP address, especially if you are playing unrated. I occasionally play against my wife - and we have never had any problems. I can only suggest that your disconnection problems are more related to your Internet connection or maybe your WiFi?

Is there any message when the people get kicked out? As far as I know, the IP check is only an advisory warning, not a limitation on who can play.

I would also suggest setting the game up as turn-based, because then if somebody gets disconnected, they can reconnect and you can continue playing.

Thanks for the responses. We do get the "playing from same IP warning." To be specific, one person is usually reduced to being a spectator. We can sometimes connect with 3 people from the same IP, but other times 2. There is no error usually and one person is reduced to being a spectator. Sometimes something along the lines of unstable connection appears, but our internet is fine.

It most likely is instability, then. It may not be totally on your end, but the combination may be affecting it.

Switching to turn-based is probably your best option. Turn-based doesn't mean it *has* to be played that slow, it just can be. (Also, if the boss walks by, you can shut the window before they notice... )

Interesting. Just for fun, try sometime to delete your cache and cookie in between players and just see what happens.

I just remembered we did play with 3 people on the same IP on one occasion. My wife's son came over and we had a session with him on his mobile using our WiFi. We had several games of Can't Stop, and we didn't have any connection problems...

If table is not opened yet, only one person can enter by invitations - others would be kicked from the table until you open it. Maybe that is the reason?
Try to select own group restrictions and open your table. Then invite all of your family.
