Expedition: Northwest Passage - problems with cellphone play

I recently was playing E:NWP for the first time and discovered that it's impossible to play on my cellphone, unlike every other BGA game I've tried--the right side of the board is covered by the sidebar. Is there a way to avoid this? I'm using an Android phone. It's disappointing as it seems an interesting game but I have to wait till I get back home to play moves on my computer.
