BGA model works

Post by Fysh99 »

I just wanted to share with games publishers, game designers, and BGA developers that the BGA model works.

I have been a member of this site for approximately 2 years. Because of this site, I have discovered many excellent boardgames which I did not knew existed. Because of this site I have purchased Android apps and Steam versions of Through the Ages, Carcassone, and I will be buying the Steam version of Tokaido soon too. I have also purchased other boardgames too, and now, because of this site, I am always on the lookout for good digital board game implementations.

And now this site has Terra Mystica - probably my all-time favourite board game - thank you for introducing me to so many great products, and keep up the good work! :D

+1
Thanks to BGA (where I've discovered those games), I've purchased at least :
-The Boss (x3 to offer)
-Time Masters
-Puerto Rico
-Dominion
-Gosu
-Hanabi (x4 to offer)
-Innovation
-Stone Age
-Takenoko
-Targui

The fact to give to BGA the authorization to develop your games on their website means more real games sold.

Takenoko and Niagara for me.

I seem to recall a thread a couple of years ago discussing this same topic. The model still works. People are still buying physical copies of games they learn about digitally.

I bought takenoko to be able to use on game days and added chibis too.
I bought roll for the galaxy after learning race here and trying roll at a boardgame club. Was really happy when it ended up here too.
Jaipur will eventually hit my collection but I feel like the management of pieces digitally is a huge strength for that game and will make it play way faster BGA than in person. '
If I had enough friends who would be up for it often enough I would add through the ages to my collection but will instead just appreciate it here and play it when I can at clubs.
Hanabi actually brought me to BGA rather than the other way around since I loved the game and wanted to play with friends that don't live locally.
There are many games I have "sold" friends on either by playing them here or by encouraging them to add to collections with promises I would teach them the rules conveniently and make sure it hits the table.
