Tournament Match Without Opponent

In the first round of the tournament today, I got paired up with a player who was not online.

I think 10 minutes is too long to wait for a game to start without this player joining, since the start-time is already known ahead of time.

It is very boring to wait around for that long and I feel like I can't leave the room because I could end up losing the match. Is it possible to shorten the time?
