Personal achievements/challenges

It could be motivational to a certain group of players - who maybe aren't so occupied with ELO but more about in-game records - if there existed some type of challenges that's also common in video games for example.

It would work next to ELO without problems (except last point) and would serve merely as additional incentive, without being related to prestige points (that was my imagination at least).

Things included might be:
  • Achieve a series of victories in a certain game (maybe from 3 to 10 (gold) in 2 player, or with every further player perhaps reduce by 1)
  • Achieve a series of victories against higher rated players (maybe 3 to 5)
  • Get a perfect score (only in some games sensible, for example 64-0 in Reversi, 66 in 6 nimmt)
  • Score at least twice the points as the 2nd player (for any game with variable points appearing in the result)
  • Special score or sweep: For example 4 points in Can't Stop or zero points for the opponents in Love Letter
  • Attain a high score (for example 80 (bronze) 90 (silver) 100 (gold) in Dragonheart)
  • Doesn't suit well if you primarily aim to maximize your ELO at the same time, but adds another dimension, maybe recommendable with training mode. Handicap: win without owning certain cards (Seasons, Stone Age...) or with (if the spot is bad)/without (if it's good) occupying certain spots (many abstracts or worker placements; Gomoku, Caylus...)

Played 100 different games.
Won at 100 different games.

Top 5 at 5 different games.
Top 10 at 10 different games.
Top 20 at 20 different games.
Top 50 at 50 different games.

You could have achieved Average, Good, Strong, ect. at X different games.

Essentially the same kind of trophies there are now for specific games but instead for multiple games.

Beating #1 ranked player.

Sometimes, playing Candy Crush, I imagine similar attractivity here. Example, if I get cleared all black bubbles (my planet empty) in Bubblee Pop, some unicorn with whoaaaawwwww you did it!!!! appears. Just for fun.

Or if I pop 7 bubbles.

I might assume game authors maybe would object....

Yes, specific events in games would be perhaps even more intriguing. I just played Lost Cities and I can remember with certainty at least one time I had all numbers played out of the same color, not so sure if I had all the doublers though. That would be more down to luck anyway, besides the very advanced skill to wait for everything to come in order if you see a chance for that ;)

Still I can imagine it would look very nice to have some proof for these rare occasions in the profile, not only in your vague memory. It's down to the creativity of the admins/players who like to propose things and their sufficient knowledge of a game to think of achievements that make sense and contain an appropriate level of difficulty/probability. Too easy is boring, too hard frustrating or rather pointless to be implemented.
