Timer for little girl

I have just played a game as LG where the wolves picked a victim within a couple of seconds on two successive nights and the game progressed instantly to next step. I had no time to pick either small or big peek, it flashed up and was gone as wolves picked quickly. Should the LG not get a timer too, at least enough to react, esp if you are on 4G not wifi and can have a few seconds lag?
