Playing on phone - annoying card descriptions take up the screen

I often play race for the galaxy on my phone. However recently, little boxes have constantly started appearing next to the cards with the card descriptions. These descriptions are always present no matter where I press on my phone, and are very annoying as they take up half the screen so I can't see my cards. Also I don't need the descriptions as I know all the cards very well.

So how do I get rid of these card descriptions?

In the top right menu, preferences section, you can set "Display tooltips" to disabled.

Thanks for the answer, but I already have tooltips disabled. This is not the problem.

different game but same problem. on tournay on mobile (iPhone 8) the tool tips still show up even when they are disabled...usually when you are trying to click on a card to play it, it will bring up the tooltip instead. On laptop turning tool tip off works fine (not that this is a laptop problem since you have separate left and right clicks already for tooltips).
