BGA and Firefox

Post by diamant »

Hello,
Since a few hours, I can no longer display the BGA site correctly using Firefox, while Edge allows me to use the site more or less normally.

I got a page without graphics and the message:
"If you see this message, it means that your browser failed to load this file."
and the link is:
https://x.boardgamearena.net/data/theme ... insite.css

Have you recently made changes to this file?

Yesterday I used the symbol ⚠ in the translation system, and remained the same color as the font with Firefox. Today, this symbol is displayed as a yellow triangle with black lines, even if it is inserted in a white font with Edge. I did not know that a character could be displayed in 2 colors, but I wonder especially if this difference of rendering has a relation with the problem evoked in the previous message.

No recent changes and I checked with Firefox, no issues that I can see. You could try clearing your browser cache and/or check browsing in private mode to make sure that there is not a plugin interfering with the site.

You may also want to check your extensions. I found that the Privacy Badger extension - for me, at least - seemed to prevent Firefox loading BGA's css file. When I disable Privacy Badger on this site, it loads properly. [I have reported this to Privacy Badger/EFF.]

Thanks a lot, allowing Privacy Badger for cookies on BGA solved the problem !

Ah thanks. I have had this problem for months so had to switch to another browser to play here.
