First let me preface this with an apology if this has been brought up in the past, my Google-fu skills are lacking in most forums/BBS.
The first part of my suggestion, is to question how games get added, the full process. I realize it would be time consuming and likely require some site-specific knowledge to integrate it with any real success, but I don't know if that process is what prevents the site from growing its library more (not that I'm complaining!) or if getting permissions for the games' use is the sticking point.
(and also if it is possible to unlock specific premium games for a particular account - ie, if I did not have a premium membership but wanted access to just one game that is behind the pay wall, could I buy access to it?)
IF it is gaining permissions that is the issue and individual game accesses could be coded in without causing the gremlins to run free behind the GUI, then my suggestion is to openly court designers/creators to add a pledge tier to their Kickstarter/IndieGoGo campaigns to purchase or add on a BGA version of the game. Many already utilize Tabletopia and Tabletop Simulator, but while those have a lot of polish on their graphics, I've heard repeatedly that neither is all that user-friendly, occasionally fiddly and less than stellar for a new-to-the-game player without someone logged in and instructing. (not to mention, do either of those offer turn-based play?)
Even if the account specific locks couldn't (or couldn't reasonably) be incorporated, securing the rights to a brand new game with some compensation worked out as those Pledges could essentially be paying for their own Premium membership... but would also attract additional players not part of the KS to do the same.
I'm not voicing this well, I know. But the essence is me whining that as many KS games as I back, I would LOVE to be able to play them HERE and am willing to pay for the privilege... in the KS Campaign if necessary to ensure it gets the funds to create it. (because my schedule has me playing most of my games not only online, but rarely in real time due to interruptions... plus I just like the flat view with instruction prompts and all of it cellphone friendly)
I now welcome everyone explaining why this can't or won't work. It's fine, it's just a wish and I like to learn.
