Carcassone players playing Marram

Hi all,

Marram is a new Beta game here on Board Game Arena. Carcassonne players are likely to be quite familiar with some of the games mechanics

• placing tiles to join other tiles
  claiming features with meeples
  joining and sharing other players features
  points for completed features
  the idea of fields
  a game where skilled players will generally win - the luck factor is there but is not significant

So it is likely that Carcassonne players will do quite well at this game.

Marram is very different though -

• two moves per turn, so a chance to make combination moves
  you can see other players tiles
  3 tiles in your hand to choose from
  double sided tiles
  flippable tiles that change the shape of fields
  you can "complete" fields and get your meeple back
  completed features disappear when completed in the "Pitchfork" variant

So why not give it a go? At the moment you only have to win about 5 games and you will be in the top ten players in the World!!

Sorry for plugging another game on this forum but I think Carcassonne player will enjoy it.

Marram is now out of beta.

Carcassonne players should give it a try. Being able to see your opponent's tiles and playing two, not one, tiles per turn mean you get all the tile-laying goodness of Carcassone but it feels very different.
