Rallyman;: GT and Board Game Geek rating

I am the author of Rallyman: GT.
First thanks for the welcome you gave to Rallyman GT on BGA, I can't get over the fact that in less than 2 weeks more than 50000 games have been played. I would never have imagined such a thing possible. Thank you, you allow me to live a dream after years of work on Rallyman games.

On the other hand I am very upset to see that since Rallyman Gt is on BGA there are some ratings on BGG that are very low because some players rate Rallyman/BGA and forget that it is a real game with more possibilities.
I saw this morning this stupid comment :"Have played a couple of times on BGA. It's not bad. I think it would be better though if there were a variety of cars to choose from. When everyone's the same, it's not as interesting."

Of course on the real game we can mix the categories of cars : GT4 against GT5 on FaceBook page :

On the real game we can also play with FORMULA 1 cars as well.

So please take a step back before making a spontaneous and unreflective judgment. It's just a question of respect for the work of the entire team who are working hard to bring the highest possible quality to this game.

Hello,

First, thanks for this game, and thanks for permitting and helping its implementation here.

You will suffer lots of bad review from people that don't understand the game, or have seen only 1% of its posibilities. But that is the same for most games unfortunalely.
But the number of games played since it has been released, being a so specific game, is really the main measure you should look at!

People are allowed to rate a game based on their experience of it. It is silly to say someone should play a game xxx number of times with every possible combination of rules before rating....


saying it is a 'question of respect' is not true and to say they are disrespecting people if they say they don't like it is unfair. People are entitled to their opinion.

I don't think that's the point. And nobody said those things.

It is silly to judge a board game having only tried the video game from which it is taken.

It is like reviewing a book having only watched the film that was made from it.

Board game and videogame version are two completely different things.
