Lucky Numbers

Post by XCID »

Hi everone,

as my debut game on BGA I picked Lucky Numbers, which is a nice and fast Sodoku-Like game. This game was originally published by Ravensburger and will be republished later this year by Tiki Editions. Please note that there are now two different setup variants. The original one is now called "Michaels Setup", while a new variant is simply called the easy setup.

If you like to give the game a playtest and you aren't a reviewer yet, send me a PM. For reviewers, you'll find the game here:
https://boardgamearena.com/reviewer?game=luckynumbers

Really looking forward for some feedback.

Thank you everybody :)

Played my first game and enjoyed, even though I lost because I misunderstood the placements. I was trying to fill my board top to bottom from 1-20 not realizing that was not necessary. My biggest feedback so far is perhaps some kind of delay or notice between rounds and the end of the game. At the end of round 1, my opponent played a clover, the screen cleared and we were already on the next round leaving me wondering what happened until I reviewed the game log and found that the round ended. Similar thing after round 2.

Thank you for your feedback.

I added a delay of 3 seconds before the table is cleared for a new round or the end of game screen.

I also made the -table- area clickable, so if a players like to place the tile on the table, they can either click on the button or the table itself.

Yeah, I saw that and liked the idea :) Though right now I don't have access to the ticket system because the alpha phase is kind of postponed, as the publisher would like to release the game simultaneously physical and online.

Thank you for playtesting :)

Thanks for adding me and my friend to the alpha-testers.
As far as we tried, it all works as supposed, at least no reproducible bug (before very first game it was weird, had set 2-4 but game wouldnt start at 2, also not after reducing to 2-2. Only started automatically with 2 as soon as i invited a 3rd person - didnt happen in later games though, so probably not bug-report-worthy).

Nice job, though too much luck involved for my taste (I know, even title says it already).

Hi Aesche and thank for playtesting the game :)

I couldn't reproduce the bug with the game setup, but that would probably something the BGA-Admins would have to look into, since it's something I can't controll. But thanks for reporting anyways.

I agree that a lot of luck is involved, on the game page I might raise the "luck"-score and lower the strategy-scoring a little.

Which one is the original setup and which is Michael's? One setup has the numbers on the diagonal filled in, the other does not - but it is not clear to me which is one is called the original?

Standard are already four clovers placed.
