Duplicate project

I'm new here.
I want to include a game on the Board Game Arena, but I see already exists a project for this game, but with inactive state.
Could I create a new project for this game, or I have to contact the author of the other project, or what is the procedure?

In my opinion it's better to contact them. It's also what is recommended in the Studio doc, even though it's not an official procedure.

Explain the game and get a status. What I did was create <GameName>Mike to start, and then they can change it later
