Bad ratings in Carcassonne

Post by Zelda Smith »

Sometimes a player will either allow their time to run out or they just don't place a tile in time. Either way, they run out of time and I have to decide either to eject that player or keep playing with someone who will sometimes go way over their time by up to 5 minutes. I've had that experience. Now I get criticized either way. If I eject them, even after allowing them a minute or more to make a play, they will give me a bad rating. I had NO idea I could go from 100% to 60% OVERNIGHT. No idea. I tried to go back to track why and could not except for the people I ejected. So now I have no option - I either give the player all the overtime needed - or wanted - and we continue to play. My rating is still low but I'm trying hard to get it back up there. I asked the game people about it and they said just to play nicer. Sigh.

You could listen to "Bad losers on Yahoo! chess" by Half Man Half Biscuit to cheer yourself up. Checkmate, Dennis Bell of Torquay.
