Fast speed option

Please can you consider an additional speed in your settings.
3 minutes is way to long for certain games. Certain players have no respect for the time of other players and use the time between their turns to do other things and only start 'thinking' when alerted to their move.
This is their perogative of course but it does make it excrutiating for the other players. Having to wait 2½ minutes for someone to make an action when there is exactly only one move they can make it exhausting and extremly frustrating. Why not just have a game mode time limit that will not allow this behavior. 1 minute turn timer puts players to the test mentally and also allows for a quick entertaining game.

In my opinion players need to stop trying to play 'perfectly' and stop being afraid of making a mistake. Play for the enjoyment of it and the enjoyment of others. Know that if you took 1 hr and your opponent took 15 minutes you made the game almost unbearable for them.

I mostly agree, I know that the time is calculated based on players habits, but even the fast mode can feel slow.

For some games, like Tokaido or Love Letter, it is quite obvious when some players are clearly doing something else during the game (as there are lots of "no brainer" moments). I think it is a bit rude (imagine a physical board game player doing something on his phone during the whole game...) and can give red thumbs, but when the pool of players is limited, it can be an issue too.

I would enjoy a system that would bring more pace, but that would not be punishing for everyone if someone has a little issue (wifi problem, having a little emergency...). Maybe the issue if with time per turn, and not with maximal time.

I think it would be nice if all players could agree to pause the game for a certain period of time. Then there could be a pretty zippy time setting.

This is an excellent idea. It would be one of the biggest improvements you could make to the ways games work here IMO. Has it been suggested before?

Players already now can agree to switch to turn based mode and enjoy break.

And while the suggestion is generally a good one, the time settings are set as to accommodate other factors, such as the reliability of internet connections (see the FAQ). A very short time control is wonderful while everyone is playing, but not so great if it's your internet connection that decides to restart.

I agree. But then dont join a game with this speed setting if you have poor interenet or connectivity issues.
