Reporting Player Who deliberately Loosing

Post by pumpkinlovemelon »

Not the first time,

But does BGA has something to deal with players who deliberately loosing the game?

For example : https://boardgamearena.com/gamereview?table=97530700

RT isnt enough for this kind of player ( sadly got 'master' rank). Better punishment is needed.

Ps: i recommend u guys rt that person also

I have a similar question. I was going to report a player but then it said "if they didn't break any rules, then you will be penalized".

So, the player in question (Viperdiper) said that he couldn't see other people's cards anymore. Some sort of bug was affecting him. We had given him two clues (a 1 and a blue) that were both playable. This was basically a start of the game phase. And yet, he plays an UNclued card.
Then begins to say that he will continue playing random until we all chose to abandon the game.

That is wrong and should totally be reportable and punished.

Yes. Sorry. That was indeed the case.

And plus, that does make more sense too lol.
Sorry, was typing the message and playing a game at the same time.

I also just finished a game with a player who (as it seemed) deliberately misfired, ignored clues, and gave totally unhelpful clues. It's really frustrating to have to play with such people (earlier this week I played with another player who also played to lose). Can anything be done? I gave a thumbs down and said this player should be avoided by other people also. Maybe that wasn't completely fair, since it's only for Hanabi that other people should avoid him/her, but I didn't have that option.

Do not think it's not fair. This kind of player can easily mess up another competitive game because they didn't liked one sentence, one move... And ruin that game by doing randoms things, or playing 100% against someone.

There is a report reason for: "quits a game in progress". Throwing a game you are also quitting in some sense, so that fits and even milder than what's happened. Another option.

There is also the option: "ruined a game by playing anyhow, playing very slowly or by giving informations in the chat" (sic) which would fit to quite some cases.

If people deliberately ruin others experience these are valid option to report them

How do you select these reasons in reporting a player?

As per today toxic game : https://boardgamearena.com/6/hanabi?table=106016756

Tried to report, but somehow the options leave me with just explanation with nothing to send report to.

Luckily we all got 0 elo despite she kept on discarding whatever clues we gave her.

BGA really needs to do somethin

I don't think (delation? it's english?) is autorised on the forum @khoo1. Generally it's not.

And I don't think it have much impact to do it anyway, even mine who plays lots of hanabi doesn't take the time to at least put a note on them.
