Training Mode game automatically abandoned?

We were playing La Granja in Training Mode due to two new players, and it got too late for us to continue. As friends, we decided to finish the game another day. However, I just looked a couple hours later and the game appears to be gone. My profile says "You currently have no game in progress".

Are Training Mode games automatically terminated if all players close the tab? Or after a certain time with no action from the active player? I guess we won't use this mode again either way, unless this is actually an unusual bug. Instead, we'll just use No Time Limit, and if we get ranked, we don't care.

It's kind of annoying that we can't do Training Mode and still set the game aside for a few days to finish later.

All games are considered abandoned and closed after a certain period without moves being played (otherwise they would stay forever and hog resources).

Probably you started this game in realtime (realtime dropdown selected in the lobby). Realtime games are closed after a delay counted in hours if there are no move played on them, because there is a lot of them. If you had started the game in turnbased (turnbased dropdown selected in the lobby), the game would have been closed after a delay counted in days.

If you want to keep a realtime game running for a longer period, you have the possibility to change it to turn based from the top right menu.

I guess I thought since Training Mode had no time limit that it was turn based. Oh well. Thanks for the reply!
