Isn't it annoying when those crumbs people randomly show up in your house eating Doritos and get it all over your bed and your couch. Yeah, hate that... This one time, I woke up to the sound of a family size bag of Lay's being opened and a crumb person was there on my bed. Just as they were putting a chip in their mouth I grabbed the bag and said, "Get out of my house!" They ran away, but they keep coming back. Does anyone have any suggestions to deal with the crumbs people? It's starting to get colder outside so I feel like they are going to start showing up more often...

I received no email. But I got the following from BGA
Moderation is done by the BGA community itself.
The appeal procedure is explained in the email received by tallfred following this moderation.
We ignore all requests that do not follow these instructions.
Now what do I do?

There should be an appeal link to the bottom of the report page.
If there isn't, the moderationpolicy has an email too.

Players have the right to appeal against the moderation decision by forwarding received moderation email to "
contact+appeal@boardgamearena.com".
They MUST explain in the email how the moderator did not follow the BGA Moderation Policy. If the explanation is not convincing, the email will be ignored. If the player is obviously guilty and if the Moderation Policy hasn't been violated, BGA admins will give a more severe penalty than the initial.

I sent my messages to this email address and they didn't even bother to reply.
I have been moderated for no rreason. My appeal has beeen ignored and I am given no way to have it reviewed.
The site is not communicating with me in any way besides move messages.
I am in big trouble with the moderators. It iss clear that I have no option but to leave the site permanently

Tonight I was moderated for saying "crumbs people" That is all I said. I do not understand how this is aggressive or insulting.
I request that the moderation be overturned. If not, I request that I be told what I did wrong.
----------------------------------------
In support of my appeal, the dictionary says the expression "crumbs" is used to express dismay or surprise.
The example given in the dictionary is this: "‘Crumbs,’ said Emily, ‘how embarrassing.’"
It is NOT in any dictionary labelled an insult.
I've searched high and low for any place where the expression "crumbs is in any way aggressive, vulgar or offensive. It occurs in that sense NOWHERE.
I humbly request to know how this can in any way be deemed insulting.

Another user has stated that an appeal by him was rejected because it doesn't matter
why someone was offended, just that they were.
They may not have gotten to your appeal yet though, considering how it is still fairly recent.

I was moderated for saying "[Player 2] threw the game for the lady" (referring to Player 3) because they made a terrible play that helped Player 3. Player 3's profile clearly indicated female.
Player 2 did not have a problem with it, but Player 3 reported me either because (a) she was upset I called her a "lady", or (b) she was upset that I was suggesting she wouldn't have won had Player 2 not made the bad play.
I tried to challenge the moderation saying it was factual, but the moderator said, it doesn't matter why Player 3 was offended, just that they were and so the moderation stands.
I wrote back to the moderator that that is a slippery slope argument and can lead to an abuse of players reporting ridiculous things of being offended by and never received any further response from the mod.
