Does anyone else have problems with mobile notifications not appearing?

I've been playing turn-based with some friends on the mobile app but we have a problem where a couple of times a game, the notifications will stop showing up. We confirm that they're still on in the settings. Sometimes if we try the notification test button in the settings that works too, but then when it's our turn we get nothing.

Anyone else having this issue?

I would love a solution to this - I have not been able to enable push notifications in the app. I'm on Android, Galaxy Note 8, and verified push notifications were on in both my app settings and within the app itself. Frustrating!
