Hi,

Nanga Parbat is now in beta. https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=nangaparbat

Nanga Parbat is a fun 2-player game from Dr. Finn's Games that is set to release next year.

Please report any bugs or suggestions at https://boardgamearena.com/bugs?game=1269

I hope you enjoy the game and if you missed out on the kickstarter like I did, I found out that you can still preorder on https://www.doctorfinns.com/shop/oiuer2 ... 92h1m3rflp

Thanks,
Jon

2 games so far, the implementation works flawlessly!
There is some nice depth in the later half.

Just out of curiosity, i saw another ending condition when reading a preview (august). Have rules changed in the meantime?
After all hikers have been played or once one player has run out of score cubes, the game ends after both players have taken the same number of turns!

Still have to try the variant, if i read correctly, there is no more cube scoring but only a global area-majority score.

Thanks. It does look like the rules have been updated since the preview on that website. The rules provided with the game art say that "After both players place all their hikers or all their scoring cubes, the game ends. " From discussions with the designer he indicated that that only applies in the variant without end-game scoring. In the end-game scoring variant the game continues until all hikers have been used since there is still scoring strategy even once all scoring cubes are played. It wouldn't be hard to include an option to end the game after one player is out of cubes (and both players have had the same number of turns) so if that ends up becoming an officially supported variant then I can add that on here as well.

thanks for the feedback!

I guess that rules have changed due to the previous scoring system being less balanced. I will trust the designer for this!
