I think The Colonists (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/192836/colonists) / Die Kolonisten / I Coloni would be an excellent fit for BGA.
It's a game with a lot of book keeping, but still not very complex mechanisms at it's core. (It's hard to play well though.)
Setup for later areas also takes a while, so there would be quite some benefit in a digital edition here.
Also, it appears to be out of print, at least from the German publisher Lookout Games. That could help in getting the rights?
