strategy for task 9?

Post by nccc »

If you want to win a round with 1,for example blue1,it means others need to get rid of all their blue cards. And what if in a 3 player game, everyone has 3 cards for each color then its already doomed? :|

Sending a distress signal might be the only way then.

As there are 4 rockets, one player would have 2 (all cards are dealt). It would be the way to break the symetry in the players' hands : 2 rounds of rockets, the two other players would discard color cards, and then you could get a 1 to win a round.

But it would be difficult for anyone to know that the other two have the same length in every color.

Sometimes missions are mathematically impossible. In some cases not even a distress signal helps.
Look at a commander's starting hand of Rocket 2-4 and blue 3-9 in a 3-player game. As is, they will get all tricks, every time. With a distress signal they will be able to modify their hand so they can pass the trick to someone else. For some (or most) misssions that might help, for others it won't.
But I do think those situations are rare enough. Just try again and laugh about your bad luck!
