Machiavelli - Question for BGA Team

Hi,
can someone from BGA Team explain how in Machiavelli do assignment and loss ELO points work
when we play a game? For example, sometimes I lose 3 points, sometimes I lose 18 points, how is it calculated?

ELO calculations (for all games) are explained in the FAQ, linked in the footer of each BGA page.
