questions about handling bugs

Post by Mishe11e »

I have my first game in alpha, and my first bug report here: https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=31852

1. are there guidelines on how to handle the bug report? in this case I have replicated the issue and have a fix ready to publish. Most of the status buttons make sense; not sure what Claimed means, and if I couldn't reproduce, would I use Works for me or Needs Info? Can I mark it as fixed or does someone need to confirm it? Does Confirmed mean the issue is replicated or the fix is confirmed?

2. although I have fixed the bug, I don't really understand the use case of being able to replay from a point in time. Can anyone explain why this feature exists and when we expect a user to use it?

3. part of the bug report mentions that the "replay from" bar shows NaN. I see this as well, but not sure whether that is something I'm doing wrong or something out of my control. Can anyone offer insight?

1. Confirmed means you managed to reproduce the bug and you know the source. Fixed means it's solved. You are the only one in charge of your own game, no one gonna check what you are doing.

2. Very useful in turn based mode.

I'm also seeing the same 'NaN' in the replay bar. I'm guessing it's a bug with the framework. Can anyone confirm?
