New option - new column in database (upgradeTableDb)

Hi!
I want to add a new option to my game that is already in Beta. For this I will add a column to the database scheme. This option is obviously only available for new games, so do I need to include upgradeTableDb in my game.php or this is not necessary because existing games are not affected?

AFAIK, there is no need to the upgradeTableDb.

If you read this GameStateValue with your new code, for an old game it will return 0, so as long as that doesn't break anything at that time you're OK.
