player colour on rematch

I understand that only premium players get to choose their colours but I don't understand why non-premium players' colours change on a rematch, especially since the player order doesn't change. It can be confusing for new players to have their colours change (especially in a game like Carcassonne) for each game. It seems to me that if you use the rematch option, all players should keep the same colour as in the original game. If they choose to go back to the main screen and start another game of the same type, it makes sense that both colours and player order will be randomized (except for the colour of premium players).
