New version changelog

Post by Tisaac »

Hi all,

I've finally merged the thecrewbugfix version into the original game.
Here are the main changes :
- fixed and improved communication
- 5 players rule implemented for mission > 25
- more clariity about deadzone and disruption
- adding symbols from the logbook onto the board with many tooltips and helpers
- permanent answer in case of questions (no need to look back at the log)
- 3 players variant is now an option
- communicated card now stays in hand
- fixing some translation bugs
- distress signal decision is no more unilateral + clearer direction for passing cards
- clearer messages at the end of a missions

Any feedback is welcomed and taken into account for future deploys :)

These are all fine - but please fix the most glaring and essential problem - that of load times.
I'm up to mission 29 so the game log is now huge. It takes ages to load and often fails.
It's now unplayable on mobile.

There's no value in seeing long past missions so please can we at least have the option to delete older mission.

Thanks

Sorry but I can't fix that, this is a framework issue and need to adressed by admins.

Thanks for the reply.
How do we get the admins to do this?

It surely would be very simple to do. Without it the game is becoming unplayable for me.

Why not quit and start new game at next mission?

Even better is quit and ask for a rematch. Unless this feature was removed in the new version, if you ask for a rematch, the game will remember where you stopped (you continue from the same mission and same number of failure) but without all the log.

The only thing that matters is that you create the game in campaign mode with the same team. That's how the game load/store legacy data at the moment.

First thanks for the update, most of the changes make the game even better than before.
We had some troubles with the translations today (only some pieces of text were German, quite a lot was in English) but there were a lot of new translations made in the last hours so maybe this will soon be fixed.
We did a mission with the new implemented 5 person rule and we did not understand what to do in the case that nobody actually wants to give his/her task to another person. It was ok for us to do a change of tasks so it was not that bad. But we needed some time to figure out how to do it (we tried to click on the blue names that where shown at the top of the game, then finally someone realised you have to click at the person you want to give your task to on the game table). But we had no idea what to do in order to skip the swap of tasks and just start playing. How should it work? It should be just an option, you don't have to use this option, do you? But there was no button for "I don't want to use this option".

troubles with translations are usually solved with F5/refresh.

Your point about 5th crewmemberrule is good, that should be solved.
