"select game mode" screen

Every time I access the BGA and try to play the game, this screen (select game mode) pops up.
I find this very complicated.
Is there a way to avoid this screen?

Not sure why it's like this now, this wasn't a problem before.

Seems to be recent change. I agree it's very frustrating. Hopefully it gets changed back to how it was previously.
