I will often play collaborative thought games, such as Hanabi. These are team games that take everyone concentrating. It is common that players may run out of time when considering a move. It is usually not an issue. Some players are impatient, and attempt to expel a player out of time, without even inquiring in the chat about the other player's delay.
Why should this Expel function be secret? Anybody at the table can do it. I've even seen the table administrator get expelled by someone else, which I think is completely wrong. I can understand in the case of someone not being present or answering, but the complete inconsideration of doing this in a team game is unacceptable to me.
At least, if this information was available, a player would have the option of choosing not to play with someone who would engage in this manner. Also, knowing that it is public would presumably cut down on people doing this out of spite, which happens.
Can anyone shed light on this?
Thank you.
