We have been using the convention (cheat) to play the card from discard that matches the position my teammate should play.
In the past (I believe), it would misfire, but still get the message across. (eg. misfire 2 means play your pos 2)
However, today I got the message You Cannot Play this Card now (approx.) and was blocked from misfiring.
