Hearts translation problems

I've noticed the ${direction} variable is not being translated in the expressions like "Some players must choose 3 cards to give ${direction}", even though "the player across the table" expression is translated.

Also, in the messages describing the plays during the game like "PlayerName plays Q Diamonds", the word "plays" is not being translated.

There is no even a string to translate the word "plays". I've noticed it too

Could be some problems with the code using hardcoded strings still? Or the translations happening on the server instead of the client? I think I remember the first one happening when a new game came out.
