As donut lovers, you all line up at the counter as the donuts roll out of the bakery in all their glorious shapes and sizes. The objective is simple...eat as many as you can as fast as you can. But in this game no one likes to share! So when two hands go for the same delight, no one is allowed to have it.
Let's Go Nuts for Donuts!
If you already played Sushi Go! this game showing food smiling at you might seem familiar. And for good reason!
On their turn, each player chooses a number card for the donut they want to take. Everyone reveals their choice at the same time, and everyone who was the only on to choose a donut, takes the donut; however, everyone that "tied" takes nothing, with the desired donut going into the discard.
There are always the number of donuts equal to the number of players +1 being offered. Thus, in theory, everyone could get a donut... but some are worth more. If no one else goes for them, fearing ending up empty handed in the round, you could gain a lot. The game ends when there are not enough cards in the deck to fill the row and the person with the most points wins.
This is all there is to Go Nuts for Donuts: players wanting to make valuable sets of donuts, with a constant game of "chicken." The rules are super simple and strategy minimal. All the information about the different donuts types is written on the cards and easy to understand.
It is clean, simple, and elegant, and no matter how many times you play it, you will always enjoy a quick game of Donuts.
